Started in 1995, the Recovery Zone
is a transitional housing concept. We set about to provide a drug free living environment
that is supportive and community based. It is within the comfort of knowing neighbors are
following a similar path that guides and encourages individuals in their journey. Learned
living skills acquired through life experience and treatment settings, are able to be
practiced in shared, cooperative living situations with reinforcement by community and
positive peer pressure.
Our success in
providing drug free living environments for people in transition has
been beyond our wildest dreams. The transition many of our residents
find themselves in most often is a change in lifestyle, whether it
be by exiting from a drug treatment center, detox unit, psychiatric
institutions, jail or relationships gone bad, we are equipped to accommodate.
Our residents agree to comply with
only two requirements:
Remain Alcohol and
Drug Free
Remain Current in
Rent Obligations
We believe that life is stressful
enough, especially for those seeking a path of recovery from drugs and alcohol. It is
within this spirit that we model our communities. We work to keep our environments as
stress free as possible.
Our belief is that people, provided
the right set of circumstances at the right time in their lives will flourish and grow.
We have our share
of ups and downs with people changing their minds about what path
to take, but we have experienced many success stories. Many of our
residents have chosen to reside with us for periods of six months
or more, taking full advantage of the open ended commitment to build
a solid foundation for ongoing recovery.
